Imlil and High Atlas Day Trip

Pick‑Up. Your day begins with a hotel pickup in Marrakech at 9:00 am, followed by a scenic drive of approximately 64 km through the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, enjoy views of valleys, Berber villages, and terraced fields.

Asni Berber Market (Saturday Only). If your excursion falls on a Saturday, you will stop at the lively Asni Berber market, where locals gather to trade goods and socialize. It’s a unique opportunity to experience authentic mountain life.

Arrival in Imlil. Arrive in Imlil, the gateway to Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa (4,167 m). Here you will meet your local guide and muleteer to begin your trek or mule ride.

Trekking or Mule Ride to Aremd. Walk or ride through the charming High Atlas village of Aremd, surrounded by walnut groves, streams, and terraced crops. The village is known for its panoramic views and was partly featured in the film Seven Years in Tibet.

Kasbah and Valley of Riraya. Explore the Kasbah and enjoy superb views along the valley of Riraya. This area marks the heart of Berber country, offering a glimpse into traditional mountain life.

Return. After a day of discovery in the High Atlas, return comfortably to Marrakech in the late afternoon.
