York is home to the world's most famous chocolate bars and brands, and there is a lot of love here in the chocolate city for all things cocoa. Join us in our academy and learn how to create your very own chocolate bar. You will discover our cocoa origins, we will show you how to work with tempered chocolate, and you will experiment with different flavours to perfect your masterpiece! Once the bars have set, you will be able to enjoy your beautifully wrapped creations at home.

During this workshop you will:

• Discover where cocoa comes from and its origins
• Learn how we manufacture our chocolate here on site
• Try a selection of our own chocolate
• Then work with your chosen chocolate to mould and design a chocolate bar
• Flavour & Decorate your chocolate bar

This workshop is £25.00 per participant making a 150g chocolate bar.

Children under 5 are welcome to assist full paying participants in the creation of a chocolate bar. 

Duration:

1 hour 10 minutes, but please allow around 20 minutes once your bar has been made for it to set so you can take it out of the mould and wrap it up to take it home.

At York Cocoa Works looking after our chocolate loving guests is one of our most important priorities. We therefore want to ensure that we are able to cater for all of our visitors, whatever their needs. This workshop is accessible to most dietary requirements but we appreciate you sharing any details of specific needs that you or participants in your party have when booking.
