Highlights. Journey through the scenic north-eastern coast of Qatar to reach the captivating Purple Island, guided by our cars from the meetup point. Comprehensive introduction to kayaking with novice-friendly training. Provided kayaks, paddles, and US Coast Guard approved safety jackets. Experience a 90-minute energetic kayaking adventure through the channels of Purple Island’s mangroves. Option for a guided walk, exploring the fascinating ecology of the mangrove forest (upon request).
Itinerary. Start Times. Kayaking start times usually depend on the tides. However, our usual tours are: Sunrise tour starts at 5AM. Sunset tour starts at 4PM. Duration. 2 Hours inclusive of training. Itinerary. Meeting Point: Kayaking Wetlands Camp, Al Thakhira. Duration: 90 minutes of kayaking, followed by 2 hours at the camp. Start Time: Varies based on daily tide schedule. Travel Time: Anticipate a 1-hour journey each way.
