Exploring Nicosia City Private Tour

First, you will visit the archaeological site of Idalion, one of the most important sites in Cyprus, with many of its rich findings new exhibited in some of the most renowned museums of the world. Then, you will drive to Nicosia City and visit Famagusta Gate, the largest and most impressive of the three gates of the walls of Nicosia, built in 1567 by the Venetians. Later on, you will see the Venetians Walls, a series of defensive walls which surround the city walls built in the Middle Ages.Afterwards, you will visit the Liberty Monument which was created in 1973 to commemorate the release from prison in 1959 of EOKA fighters. Later on, we will drive to the Old City - Ledras Street where you can have a lunch or coffee break in one of the cafes-restaurants around the area. If you wish, you may go across the checkpoint and visit the North part of Cyprus. Next stop will be Shacolas Tower Museum and Observatory, a tower giving you a complete and panoramic view of the entire city. Last stop will be the Cyprus Museum, the first archaeological Museum of Nicosia where you will be able to experience the long history of civilization of the island from prehistoric times to the early Cristian period.
