Lisbon to Douro Valley Heart

Facing Porto and north, just from the other side of the river you'll have the best vew over Porto city from Serra do Pilar

Your first Port Wine experience and introduction to the history of the wine will be in this famous cellar. A premium wine tasting is included.

Porto sightseeing. We'll cross the city so you can have the chance to get a glipsy of Porto. This will take about an hour. If you decide to stop it will be possible since we manage the time to get to Douro Valley still with day light.

Amarante is the city where we leave the highway and start to go to the Douro Valley by the national Road. Usually this is the place to have lunch before heading down to Douro Valley. This city is famous for the Saint and it's "very charateritic" pastry.

From Amarante to Peso da Regua the road adapts to the mountain and the thousand-year-old steps where the vines are planted, a heritage of humanity, stretch out before our eyes.

Peso da Regua, surrounded by the majestic vinewyards, is considerated the capital of Port Wine. This will be our stop for the night and you should book your hotel in this town or surroundings. If you want we can take you to another (not included) wine tasting before take you to your hotel.

Douro Valley back to Lisbon

From Peso da Regua we'll head to Pinhao throught the national road that goes side by side with Douro River. This road allways appears as one of the most beautifull and scenic roads is in the world. Let your eyes and heart decide what you think

From Lamego to Lisbon we are going by the most direct road, most of them by highway. We're making stops on the way any time you want.
