Outside Dublin, sightseeing still travels by driver and small coach along the coast roads and into the west, ground too spread out for a phone-led walk to cover.

Both formats run the same way: clues tied to GPS points, solved on foot, no guide and no fixed start time, an hour to a bit over two depending which is picked. The landmarks route stays close to sightseeing, built as a first pass through the old civic core; a shorter romantic trail leans harder on story and pace, aimed at couples rather than a family group. Either costs about the price of a round of pints, and a trip that continues past Dublin returns to a driver or a coach for the rest of the country.

Practical. Dublin's weather sets the pattern for these walks since that's where they all run: mild and wet rather than extreme, summer afternoons rarely topping 20C, winter rarely below freezing, but rain arriving with little warning in any month. The west coast, where these routes don't reach, runs wetter still off the Atlantic. A light waterproof beats an umbrella on any of them.
