Discover the splendor of Río Secreto Nature Reserve: Journey to the heart of a cenote, and in the silence of the underground cave, marvel at the cathedrals of stalactites and stalagmites formed over millions of years. As you wade through clear turquoise water, an expert guide explains the geological secrets behind these limestone formations and points out local flora and fauna. Out of the caves and back in the jungle, enjoy a tasty buffet lunch featuring Mayan cuisine.

Six Exciting Tour Options ( all include  buffet lunch featuring Mayan cuisine, and transportation except the  admission-only option which does not include transportation):


1. Río Secreto Admission (Without Transportation): Explore the cenote and underground cave, then return to the jungle at your own pace. Duration: 3:30 hrs.

2. Río Secreto Admission + Transport: Includes admission to Río Secreto Nature Reserve and convenient transportation to and from select Playa del Carmen hotels. Enjoy the cenote and cave without worrying about logistics. Duration: 6:00 hrs.

3. Río Secreto Plus with Transportation: Enhance your adventure with three additional activities: a thrilling bike ride, an exploratory walk in a dry cave, and an exhilarating rappel. Duration: 6:30 hrs. (Children's minimum age: 7 for additional activities)

4. Río Secreto + Tulum: Combine your visit to Río Secreto with a guided tour of the impressive Mayan city of Tulum, led by experts in archaeological zones. Immerse yourself in both natural wonders and historical treasures. Duration: 8:00 hrs.

5. Río Secreto + Coba Ruins: Add an enriching historical experience to your Río Secreto adventure with a visit to the ancient Coba Ruins, where you will admire the highest pyramid in the Yucatán Peninsula, Nohoch Mul, and learn about the Mayan civilization from expert guides. Duration: 8:00 hrs.

6.  Río Secreto + Puerto Morelos- Reef & Cavern Explorer : Expand your adventure by exploring the vibrant underwater world of the Puerto Morelos reef, along with the Río Secreto tour. Discover colorful marine life and stunning coral formations as you snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of this protected marine park. Duration: 7:30 hrs.

Ablauf

Check In. Arrival at the reception and services area, at this point we will see a Welcome video after we will get on the road for about 15 minutes to go to the Rio Secreto´s reserve.

Introduction. Once we arrived at the reserve our certified guides will talk to you about the security instructions and provide you all the neceesary equipment to preform this activity safely.

Mayan Ceremony. Before we enter in to this river considered as the underworld by the mayans we need to ask for permission to their gods on a Mayan ceremony perform by a local Shaman

Rio Secreto is one of the most impressive natural places in Playa del Carmen, it is an underground river surrounded by stalactites and stalagmites that give an ancient air to this space that has been formed for thousands of years. Let us led you by one of our trained guides on one and a half our and family friendly tour. We will be able to walk and swim across its clear and fresh water.

Lunch. After the tour will have a buffet lunch where we can taste dishes from the region and fresh flavor Waters

Return. Get ready and confortable to go back to your hotel.

Tulum Archaeological Site. When this option is selected . We will visit the remains of an ancient clifftop fortress. Tulum used to be a main trading hub . Walled on three sides . The front open facing the Caribbean sea. The views are breathtaking .Your tour guide will go deep into the main buildings history and astronomical findings.

Coba Visit. When Coba Option is selected: Enjoy a captivating journey into the ancient Maya civilization. Nestled in the lush jungles of the Yucatán Peninsula, Coba is renowned for its expansive network of elevated stone roads, known as sacbes, and its towering pyramids, including the Nohoch Mul Pyramid, surrounding forest. The site is less crowded than other Maya ruins, providing a tranquil and immersive experience. Exploring Coba, you’ll discover intricately carved stelae, ceremonial structures, and ball courts that echo the grandeur of a once-thriving city. Whether biking through the ruins or guided by local experts, Coba promises a blend of adventure, history, and natural beauty.
