Meet your expert local guide and travel by comfortable coach along the scenic Amalfi Coast road, passing picturesque towns on the way to Pompeii. Enjoy a 2-hour skip-the-line guided tour of this ancient Roman commercial city, exploring its streets, shops, houses, and public buildings. Learn how daily life came to a sudden halt during the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, when ash and lapilli buried the city.

After free time for lunch, continue to Herculaneum, a smaller and well-preserved coastal town that was mainly residential. During a 2-hour guided visit, discover remarkably intact buildings and the area where the victims’ remains were found, offering a powerful insight into the final moments of the eruption.

On the return journey, stop at a traditional cameo workshop to learn about this local craft.
