4 Days in the Historical City of Al-'Ula. Private Tour
This is the opportunity to witness the masterpiece made by history, setting on the exploration of Al-'Ula, one of the oldest Arabian cities. On the trip, you will discover the famous historical landscapes and visit museums to learn about the rich history of the region.
Day 1. You will get picked up from the airport and get comfortably settled at your hotel.
Day 2. After breakfast, you will have a historical tour around Hegra or Mada’in Salih, an archeological site that became Saudi Arabia's first UNESCO World Heritage Site. Also, you will visit the Hejaz Railway Museum that was established on the restored historic Ottoman railway station. You will find out how important the transportation system was to Islam and see some of the remains of Al-’Ula station, including original tracks and trains. Afterwards, you will go to a farm in Al-‘Ula to have some tea and snacks in a marvelous natural setting. During the sunset, you will be scheduled to visit Jabal Al-Fil or Elephant Rock, and then you will drive around to see the city at night.
Day 3. In the early morning, you will get to Jabal Ikmah, a huge open-air historical library that is full of ancient rock inscriptions. After lunch, you will get to know the hospitality of locals. Sipping Arabic coffee, you will observe the view from the top of Mount Uhud, also known as Jabal Uḥud.
Day 4. After having a delicious breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and get transferred to the airport.
