4-day Marble Quarry and Olkhon Private Tour
The tour will take you to some of the most memorable sights of Siberia and to legendary Lake Baikal. You will see the natural sites, divine memories and take pictures of the breathtaking scenery. The world's oldest, deepest and largest freshwater lake, Baikal features thousands of species of plants and animals, many of them endemic to the region, and it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996.
1 Day. You will head to the coast of Maloe More, a strait in Lake Baikal that separates the largest island of the lake, Olkhon Island, from the western shore of Baikal. On the way, you will see how plants give way to hills and mountains and visit a marble quarry in Buguldeyka. The location features huge walls of snow-white marble.
2 Day. Your guide will take you to Olkhon, and you will get to the southern part of the island in UAZ, the national Russian vehicle. Apart from discovering the remarkable scenery of the location, you will visit some historically valuable and interesting places like village Khuzhir.
3 Day. You will drive along the most remarkable natural sites of the coast of Maloe More. A flat strip of land with steppe landscapes and a large number of rivers descending from the Baikal mountains, it features such remarkable sites as Sarma Gorge, Uyuga Cape and Tsagan-Khushun Cape.
4 Day. You will go back to Irkutsk and have lunch in a roadside cafe.
