English, Italian, Russian, German, Turkish, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch
Take a beautiful trip to the beautiful Baikal surroundings and see those breathtaking sites of Tazheran steppes and Olkhon island. Visit divine Tazheran steppes. There are many specific, rare minerals here. In the north, the steppe begins from the Olkhon Gates Strait, in the south it reaches the Anga River. You can see relic spruce forests, light pine forests, sand dunes and steppe expanses, remnant rocks and hilly terrain. Many beautiful bays of Baikal adjoin the steppe. The most famous among them is Aya Bay.
The second main highlight of this tour is Olkhon island. There are two versions regarding the origin of the name of the island, both stem from the language of the Buryats, the indigenous inhabitants of Olkhon. According to the first, the name of the island means "a little wooded", and the second means "dry". Both words perfectly describe the island. After all, a third of the island is covered with forests and the amount of precipitation is extremely low - about 240 mm per year.
