Cooking and Overnight Stay in Local Berber Village
Our meeting place with you will be near the Hotel Tazi in the main squar of Djamaa Elfna from there then start the Experience to the High Atlas Mountain to discover the Berber way of life and the authentic Moroccan in the High Atlas Mountains only over one hour and half drive from Marrakech. Drive across some of the most beautiful valleys to the village of Imlil dominated by Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa.
Start a soft hike, or ride a mule, to one of the highest and most picturesque Berber villages. Meet with the local Berber people who are the earliest inhabitants of Morocco and discover their way of life and culture.on arrival Have a tea ceremony then welcoming to your room .Around 5 pm start cooking with local family to Learn how local traditional mint tea is made
Try your hand at homemade bread or one of the following: chicken tajine with picked lemons and olives, lamb tajine with figs and walnuts, lamb tajine with vegetables, beef with prune and almonds, lamb or chicken couscous with seasonal vegetables (vegetarian options are also available). Dinner included. Overnight at a homestay.
We will meet you at the Authentic Toubkal Lodge in Imlil which is a hidden gem and one of the most beautiful homestays then start the trek depending on the season, on the day, on the number of guests, then have a tea in the beautiful balcony then start a half day trek throught the villages and forest of Tidli with 360°degrees Mountain views & great landscape then stop for picnic lunch at the country side then trek back to imlil via Armed village then continue the hike back to Imlil for the transfer back to Marrakesh.
