Istanbul at Night Food Tour
Explore the magical night scene of Istanbul on this local food and history at night tour. Spend your evening hopping from vivid sights to hidden street gems, with some delicacy treats in between.
The tour will start in front of Karaköy Ferry Pier at 17:30 and first food experience will be a delicious Turkish style fish-burrito which is well-cooked by a famous old chef called Super Mario.
While exploring the lively Karaköy as locals do, we will give a break to taste some amazing handmade baklavas in a store which is in action since 1820.
Walking along the historical Banks street, we will be talking about the past and today. The walk will continue along the historical buildings of Pera including Kamondo Stairs, Genoese monument and famed Galata Tower.
Next food stop will be a Turkish classic çöp şiş in one of the best in town. This delicious dish is made with roasted lamb scraps marinated, placed on skewers and quickly roasted.
Strolling through the bars around, we will find our way along Istiklal Street to meet the second oldest metro in the world. Afterwards we will join the locals promenading on colorful Istiklal Street and head to a small alley to have our Turkish coffees.
Next will be a visit to one of the most glamorous arcades of the past: Flower Passage. After passing through, we will have our mussels at a well-known food stall in the middle of the fish market and visit a hidden pickle store to have our pickle juices.
Before finalizing our walk in a cozy pub with locals, we will taste ”sarma”; a very local dish of black cabbage leaves rolled around a filling of rice and minced meat.
