To begin the tour, you will be picked up from your hotel or meeting point in Yerevan and taken on an exploration of the beautiful city 29 years older than Rome! It dates back to 782 BC when King Argishti built the Erebuni fortress. Yerevan is known as "The Pink City" because many buildings are made of pink tuff stone. A walking tour is the best way to learn about Yerevan's culture, history, and cuisine. Republic Square with musical fountains is one of the truly magnificent sights: from early May to mid-autumn, there is a fantastic singing-dancing fountains show, accompanied by some great music of various genres. Cascade Complex, which offers breathtaking views of the city from the top, is another must-see.

Then you'll see the legendary Ararat brandy factory, which represents the spirit of Armenia, its cultural and historical heritage, and the Armenian people's craftsmanship. The history of Armenia's oldest brandy, ARARAT, began more than 130 years ago, in 1887, when the first brandy production in Armenia was established. The founders' pioneering spirit became the brand's guide throughout its history:

  • The first vintage cognac
  • The first international recognition at the 1902 World Exhibition in France
  • The birthplace of cognac

ARARAT is now available in 35 countries and is the first brand of Armenian cognac. In the factory, you can observe the various stages of brandy production and sample the delicious taste and flavor of different types of Ararat brandy firsthand. The factory's museum depicts the 120-year history of Armenian brandy production.

The Megerian Carpet factory museum will be the next stop. Rugs and carpets have always been a distinctive form of Armenian cultural expression. For over four generations, the Megerian family has been involved in selling, restoring, and producing fine oriental rugs. The Megerians, originally from Armenia, established their rug trade business in the United States in 1917 and quickly became rug repairing and restoration experts. Over time, they became aware of the growing demand for various trends and subtle design changes, and they turned to the loom to create their decorative rugs. Megerian Carpet has a large selection of rugs and carpets with various ornaments and patterns typical of Armenian culture. The oldest carpet on display here dates from the 17th century.

Your final stop will be Matenadaran, the world-renowned museum of ancient manuscripts. Old Armenian books and miniature paintings on display have gained international acclaim. Among its unique treasures are works by ancient classical authors and rare manuscripts that have only been translated into Armenian. You will be dropped off at your hotel or meeting point at the end of the tour.
