Sevanavank is a monastery complex located on the Sevan peninsula of the Gegharkunik region. According to the materials found, the first church of St. Harutyun (Sunday) was built by Gregory the Illuminator on the site of a pagan temple on the island (now a peninsula) of Lake Sevan. It was destroyed due to an earthquake in 995. In the 9th century, the monk Mesrop Yeghivardetsi (later Catholicos Mesrop A Yeghivardetsi) founded the monastery of St. Arakelots. According to church records, the current monastery was founded in 874 by the daughter of Ashot A, Princess Mariam. Subsequently, the monastery was surrounded by a wall, which was destroyed in 16-17.

Within the scope of this private tour first visit Bjni to take the view of St. Astvatsatsin monastery, founded in 1031 and the beautiful fortress, located on an upland promontory, surrounded by impregnable rocks. Next, have a stop at Tsaghkadzor with visits to Kecharis monastery complex and a cable car to go up the slope of Mount Teghenis (from where there opens a picturesque view of the mountain ranges of the region). Finish the tour with an activity full of adrenaline and emotions – flight on a zipline not far from Kecharis.
