Private Riisitunturi Snowshoeing – Sunrise, Sunset & Winter Light

Explore Riisitunturi National Park with your own private local guide on a shorter and flexible winter experience.

This tour is a good choice if you want to see Riisitunturi's snow-covered forests and open fell landscapes without spending a full day outdoors or walking a long distance. It is also suitable for first-time snowshoers and guests who are unsure how they will feel walking or spending several hours outside in winter conditions.

We usually explore approximately 4 km, with time to stop, enjoy the landscape, take photographs and have a hot drink along the way.

There is no fixed route. At the beginning of the experience, your guide will ask about your wishes and consider the weather, temperature, snow conditions and your group's comfort level before choosing the route.

Depending on the conditions, we may use snowshoes, winter boots or ice grips. Snowshoes are not always necessary – when the winter trail is firm, walking can sometimes be the more comfortable option.

The departure time is flexible. You can choose a time that suits your holiday or plan the experience around winter daylight, sunrise, sunset or blue hour.

No previous snowshoeing experience is required. Recommended minimum age 6 years.
