12-day Motorcycle Adventure in Western Ghats in Bengaluru, India

This is a 12-day 1450 km ride from Bangalore on a Royal Enfield, through the incredibly beautiful Western Ghats takes us to one of the hottest diversity spots on Earth and world heritage site. The adventure comprises riding along the Arabian Sea and rainforests of Agumbe, coffee plantation stay, the mesmerizing Jog Falls, stay in a jungle lodge, wildlife safari, amazing sculptures and temple architecture and the heavenly beaches of Goa! This motorcycle tour to western Ghats is led by a cultural evangelist who will also be the escort rider. While riding he will ensure a safe navigation through city traffic as well as the ghats. He will also ensure an immersive experience of hottest bio-diversity spot in India. Western Ghats is full of wildlife sanctuaries, thunderous Jog falls, rainforests of Agumbe, coffee plantations of Chikmagalur and pristine beaches like Murudeswar, Gokarna and Goa. The tour is organised on the legendary Royal Enfield Motorcycles. When it comes to stimulating all the senses, no other motorcycle comes even close to a Royal Enfield with its legendary thump. The reward for undertaking a spectacular ride from Bangalore through forests, mountains and waterfalls of the Western Ghats, is the sinful beach of Goa to relax for 72 hours before the ride back!

Day 1. Bangalore to Chikmagalur (245 km)

Motorcycle tour from Bangalore to Chikmagalur commences at 7 AM. The ride will take 4.5 hours. In the evening we will explore coffee plantations.

Day 2. Belur and Halebid Temples (80 km)

We will ride to the ancient twin capitals of Hoysala Kingdom, Belur and Halebid to appreciate the fantastic sculptures and temple architecture.

Day 3. Agumbe Rainforest and Trasi (185 km)

At 8AM we ride for 2.5 hours to reach the rainforests of Agumbe, home to the King Cobra! Another 2 hour ride will bring us to the coast at Trasi with its pristine breaches.

Day 4. Murudeshwar (55 km)

After breakfast we leave Trasi and ride for just over an hour to reach the picturesque village of Murudeshwar nestled between the western ghats and the Arabian Sea. We will visit the famous Shiva temple surrounded by Sea on 3 sides.

Day 5. Gokarna (80 km)

We ride for 2 hours and reach Gokarna, one of the best beaches in India. The day is dedicated to lazing on the tranquil Om beach.

Day 6-8. Goa (135 km)

A 3.5-hour ride will bring us to Goa. We will spend the next 3 days relaxing in the famous beaches of Goa, exploring Portuguese built churches and enjoying the legendary Goan hospitality.

Day 9. Dandeli (125 km)

Dandeli is a wildlife sanctuary and we will stay in a Jungle Lodge and indulge in a Jeep safari as well as a coracle ride over the River Kali.

Day 10. Jog Falls (170 km)

We ride for 3.5 hours to reach Jog Falls, one of the biggest plunge waterfalls in India. Stay is planned in a homestay in a village near the Falls.

Day 11. River Tern (140 km)

A 3-hour ride will bring us to a lodge perched on a hill besides the Bhadra Reservoir and on the edge of a Tiger Reserve. We will do a Jeep Safari as well as a Boat safari to explore the wildlife.

Day 12. Return to Bangalore (285 km)

We checkout from the jungle lodge at 11AM and ride 6 hours to reach Bangalore. End of the tour.

Includes: hotel pick-up and drop-off in Bangalore, a Royal Enfield motorcycle, a guide, 11 nights stay in hotels with breakfast, entrance charges, Jeep Safari and Coracle ride in Dandeli, Jeep Safari and Boat ride in Bhadra, lunch and dinner on day 9 and 11 in Jungle Lodges in Dandeli and Bhadra. Optional: food and beverages (except on day 9 and 11), camera charges at monuments. Minimum 1 person.

1 rider  in single occupancy in hotel- $3650 per person

1 rider plus 1 pillion (2 guests on 1 motorcycle) on double occupancy in hotel- $2500 per person

2 riders in double occupancy- $2900 per person

For departure dates more than 30 days away - 50% cost to be paid for confirmation. Balance 50% needs to be paid 30 days prior to departure.

Until 10 days prior to departure: 75% of tour cost

11-20 days prior to departure: 50%

21-30 days prior to departure: 30%

More than 30 days prior to departure: 20%

Please note: riders need to have a valid driving license for motorcycles and need to share a copy of the same for confirmation of booking. Insurance for guests is not provided by the company and hence guests need to arrange for their own insurance for injury or accident while riding.
