At 09:00, we'll depart for the Aragatsotn Province, home to Armenia's highest peak, Mount Aragats (4090m). The word Aragats means "at the foot of." The Armenian Alphabet Monument, where you may take photos of stately stone letters, will be our first visit. This one-of-a-kind Alley of Letters was made to celebrate the 1600th anniversary of the creation of the Armenian alphabet.
Then, on the southern slope of Mount Aragats, we will see the spectacular Amberd Fortress, built in the 7th century. In Armenian, the name means "fortress in the clouds." At 2300 meters, the medieval fortification is perched on a cliff. You will have plenty of time to roam around and enjoy the incredible wildlife and breathtaking sights. Then we'll drive to Lake Kari on Mount Aragats. The elevation is 3402 meters, the surface area is 0.12 square meters, and the depth is 9 meters. Byurakan to Kari Lake can be reached by roadway. On the lake's eastern shore, there is a meteorological station. We'll go back to Yerevan after being amazed by how beautiful and rich Armenian culture is!
