Bike Tour to Zaanse Schans Windmills and Countryside from Amsterdam

You will be led through the enchanting country on a bicycle from Amsterdam, passing through historic towns like Wormer, Jisp, Bartelsluis, and Haaldersbroe before arriving in Zaanse Schans. A place where you can see exactly how people lived in the 18th and 19th centuries. You will be amazed at how much you can see and do here. Authentic Dutch culture is preserved here — from 1961 to 2014, 18th and 19th-century buildings were moved from all over the country to Zaanse Schans. And now, they stand alongside reconstructions of traditional structures, creating a perfect reflection of the past. These historic wooden houses were once home to the most important crafts of the time. And visitors to Saanse Schaanse can now experience the wide world of Dutch craftsmanship in one place, where everything from woodworking to alcohol distillation takes place. Here you will explore operating windmills, green wooden houses with a traditional lifestyle, farms with cows, sheep, and horses, and local markets for cheese and crafts. The bike ride takes 2 hours (22 km), with options for shorter routes of 8,5 km, 10,8 km, or 12,8 km. Let us know in advance which route is preferable.
