Fatima is an altar of peace.

Fatima was elevated to the status of a small city in 1977 and was given the status of a city in 1997. Because of its history and the events that it once witnessed, many describe it as a land of wonders or a city of peace. The year 1917 left an indelible mark on this particular corner of Portugal, at that time a peaceful pastoral place where little or nothing happened except for the simple rural life of its inhabitants. It was in this year that three children witnessed the phenomenon later known as the milagre de Fátima (the miracle of Fatima).

On May 13, a woman described as being brighter than the sun and surrounded by an aura of light appeared to three shepherds named Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco at a place called Cova da Iria, which is now one of the most important destinations for the Christian faith. Since then, Fatima has become an altar of peace - a place of pilgrimage, full of spirituality, and a meeting place for believers.

Nazare is one of the best beach resorts on the Silver Coast (Costa de Prata) of Portugal.

The city is located in a wide sandy bay, which is hidden in the shadow of the massive Cape Cityu. This cape served for many years as a safe haven for the fishing fleet of Nazare, sheltering boats pulled out of the water on the sand from the ferocious waves of the Atlantic Ocean.

Nazare has evolved over time from a small fishing town to a popular tourist destination, while retaining its unique identity and glorious heritage. Cobbled streets can still be found along the coastline, older women still wear traditional clothes, and traditional fishermen's houses have been converted into stylish hotels.

During the summer months, Nazare is a bustling and lively place that attracts tourists with its amazing beach and wonderful holiday atmosphere. In winter, a completely different category of tourists comes here - brave and fearless surfers come here to ride the huge waves crashing against the shore of the North Beach with noise.
Spread out in a prominent and high place near the Atlantic Ocean, at a fairly close distance from the capital, Obidos has always been of great strategic importance for this territory. Captured before the arrival of the Romans on the Iberian Peninsula, the city began to flourish from the moment when the royal family chose it. After the king Don Dinis presented it as a gift to his wife Dona Isabel in the 13th century, the city became the property of the House of Queens, who for many dynasties contributed to its development and prosperity. This is one of the reasons why there are so many churches in a small area.
Inside the fortress walls we will find a well-preserved castle with a labyrinth of streets and white houses that delight everyone walking along them. In addition to the Manueline portals, flower-decorated windows and small squares, there are many other reasons to visit the city, including fine examples of religious and civic architecture from the Golden Age.
