We will walk around the lively Central Market, try pancakes with cheese and beans. Seeing the various sights such as the Cathedral, the National Theater and the beautiful Morazán Parks will help you get to know the country and its rich history better, and through this experience you will have another taste to better understand San José. Finally, visit the coffee shop Mr. Sloth where you will find gourmet coffee and chocolate made by women, in this special place taste and learn how to cook Cafe Chorreado, enjoy tamal made by local families and wrapped in a banana leaf, learn how to make pancakes with banana and cheese, try our famous dish Agua de Sapo with cane sugar and lemon.

In general, local residents are very friendly and tolerant towards tourists. Unlike other countries in Central America, there are a lot of people with white skin, as well as immigrants and people from other countries. However, tourists are not recommended to travel to the outskirts - there is a risk of meeting with gangs of local scammers. English in San Jose is either spoken very poorly or not understood at all, so be sure to buy a good Spanish phrase book in advance.
