You will start this adventurous tour by visiting Tatev monastery, constructed in the 9th-13th centuries. Before, Tatev was quite difficult to reach, but now Tatev is very easy to access by the world’s longest reversible cable car, called the Wings of Tatev, as well as by the newly constructed road. You can take the cable car which is 5752 meters long, recorded in the Guinness Book of Records, and enjoy 12 minutes of unforgettable flight.
Next stop will be at Khndzoresk cave-village, famous for its antique cave dwellings, which were used up to 1950s. From ancient times, people lived in these rocky hills, constructing artificial shelters and places for food storage. The village had 3000 houses and the population of 15000 people. Most of the houses in the village are dug into the rock. You can also walk on the Swinging bridge, which will leave you with incredible memories.
Your last stop will be at the complex «Zorats Karer» (Karahunj), which is located in Syunik region. The name translated from Armenian means the «stones of power» and it can be explained by the fact that the stones are situated on one of the most energetic points of the planet. It is supposed that the complex «Zorats Karer» was built in VI millennium BC and served as an observatory.
