Meet your driver at the Florence meeting place and begin your tour of the Tuscan hills. You will travel through the Chianti region, passing through vineyards, olive groves, and rows of cypress trees until you arrive at Siena. This city is well-known for its stunning architecture and principal plaza, the Piazza del Campo. Furthermore, Siena features a UNESCO World Heritage Site in its old city center. The iconic Piazza del Campo, the Duomo, the Baptistery, and the charming little alleyways of the senior center, such as the "Via di Città," are the most intriguing things to see in Siena.
Your driver can recommend a restaurant for a traditional Tuscan lunch. After lunch, you will travel through one of the most beautiful Tuscan wine roads, past postcard hills, and amazing vines, until you arrive in Montalcino for a wine tasting at a prominent farm where this excellent wine has been produced for centuries.
Their family was one of the first to make Brunello, and they have kept the same high quality and dedication to their work for hundreds of years. After a tour of the wine cellar and a talk about how Brunello is made, the tasting will begin. You can try five different wines, including Rosso di Montalcino, two types of Brunello DOCG, a Super Tuscan, and a lovely Rosé. You will return to Florence after the tasting.
