The Great War Ski Tour is a magnificent path that winds around the bases of the most prominent hills. The trail goes around Col di Lana, the site of many brutal battles of World War I. You will see the Italian trenches at the Cinque Torri, and on the Lagazuoi, you can see the Austrian machine gun station and the watch post with the officers' cabin and skis at its feet.
The Armentarola slope is one of the Dolomites' most intriguing landscapes. Skiers get to the slopes of the Badia Valley on a horse-drawn tow. From there, they can go to Arabba, Padon, and Marmolada.
