3-day Toubkal Trekking Tour

For these three days, we will hike through the Toubkal National Park and then finally ascend the “Jabel Toubkal” with its summit at 4167m, making it the highest peak not only in Morocco but the whole of North Africa. Elation and pride are waiting for us when we reach the summit on the third day as is the view of the clouds and birds flying deep below our feet. On the previous days, our trip leads us through fruit-filled valleys, visiting traditional Berber villages and enjoying quiet moments in the nut tree oases and beside the river banks.

Our three day round trip to and from Jebel Toubkal will begin with a fairly early pick-up from your hotel or accommodation in Marrakech. You will be dropped off at Imlil, where you will meet your guide. Loaded with all your belongings on the back of the mules, you'll be ready for a long uphill hike, leaving the Imlil Valley far behind and heading to the Tizi-en-Mzyek Trail. The latter offers a panoramic view of the mountains surrounding the area. Continue down the slopes until you reach the Azadin Valley. On our way to the mountain refuge where we will spend the night, we will pass by Azip Mtansault Falls and the magnificent Holden House. Then we continue to our final destination for the day, Lepiney Mountain Refuge.

Our destination today will be the Toubkal Sanctuary, which is located at the foot of Mount Toubkal. We'll make our way back to the Azzaden Valley, which means there's a pretty steep climb ahead. We will be transfered again from the magnificent waterfalls of D'Irhoulden, then continue climbing the Mt. Agusem pass and then descend to the Toubkal sanctuary, where we will spend the night. Please keep in mind that the accommodation there is very basic, however, it has the important things that you may need. During the summer, and if the weather permits on Mount Toubkal, we usually choose a camp in the refuge. Get a good night's sleep, rest well and get ready for the big day tomorrow.

 Day 3:  Toubkal Refuge  -  Toubkal Summit  -  Imlil  -  Marrakech

Today is the desired day! You will face the prominent summit of the highest mountain in North Africa - Jebel Toubkal. We will take advantage of the early morning start to climb the mountain, we would like to block out the hot sun for as long as possible. As you might have guessed before, the roads up to the mountain are a bit challenging depending on the season. Not all roads to the summit are safe - some are very tricky - but don't worry, our guides are very experienced and over the years have acquired a good knowledge of the area to block perilous roads and take you through safe routes. When you reach the top, you will feel like you are on the moon, watching the most amazing and wonderful views of the Atlas Mountain range and Berber villages. The view from the top will make any difficulties you encounter on your way to the top worth it! We'll spend some harmonious time over stunning views of the peak and then backtrack on our way to Imlil, and from there, you'll meet your driver who will take you back to your location in Marrakesh.
