Best of Siem Reap 2-Day Private Tour: Angkor & Tonle Sap

Day 01: Excursion to Angkor Thom, Taprohm and Angkor Wat Temples. We are going to pick up you at the lobby of hotel in Siem reap. Then, we go to buy the temple tickets and go to visit temples.

South Gate of Angkor Thom. The popular gate of the last capital city of Angkorian Period. You will see two rows of Deva & Demon standing and holding the body of Naga. Moreover; you can walk cross the tower with 4 giant faces of future Buddha.

Bayon Temple. The Buddhist Temple with 49 faces is locating the center of Angkor Thom. You will discover much information of daily lives of people in Angkorian Period.

Baphoun Temple. The Hinduism Temple with 3 levels was built to dedicate to Shiva God.

Phimean Akas temple. It is inside the Royal Palace.

Terrace of Elephant. There are a lot of carvings of elephants.

Terrace of Leper king. This place was used as a hospital.

Taprohm Temple. Our next stop, Ta Prohm, gained its 21st Century fame from the movie Tomb Raider featuring Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft. Today, with Lara long gone, this temple is on the itinerary of most visitors and rightfully so. Many corners of Ta Prohm showcase an intricate relationship between the roots of Spung tree (Tetrameles Nudiflora) and ancient stones covered in moss. Truly a photographer's paradise, don't miss the opportunity to capture your own explorer's moments.

Angkor Wat Temple. Your afternoon adventure will commence at the largest religious monument ever built – Angkor Wat. One can simply spend hours wandering in awe at the grandeur of this temple, its many levels and intricate carvings adorning the many galleries. The stories told by your guide will bring ancient Angkor times back to life.

Day 02: Ox-card Riding & floating Village-Tonle Sap Lake. This is a last day for you in Siem Reap, therefore; we will go to take an ox-card riding in the village and then, we go to visit Tonle Sap Lake.

Kompong Phluk Floating Village. After riding ox-card, we go to visit Kompong Phluk, an authentic stilted village on the edge of the great Tonle Sap Lake. Here, the Khmer, Vietnamese and Cham people live in harmony with the rising and falling water levels of the lake. Fun fact: most households here own boats as well as motorbikes as their road becomes a water channel during the monsoon. The biggest attraction in this neighbourhood is the eerie Flooded Forest accessible by boat during the wet season.
