Description complète

If you want to see Michelangelo’s David you can do it in Piazza della Signoria in front of Palazzo Vecchio or at Piazzale Michelangelo. If you want to admire the original, however, you can only do it at the Galleria dell'Accademia.

This is the ideal place in the city to discover not only the most famous work of art by Michelangelo, the David, but also other masterpieces of this great Florentine artist: The Four Prisoners, San Matteo, and Palestrina’s Pietà. This exceptional concentration of Michelangelo’s works has contributed significantly to the fame of the Accademia Gallery, making it the second most visited museum in Florence after the Uffizi.

Given the relative narrowness of the museum’s spaces and the large turnout, long lines of tourists waiting to enter, outside, are very common. Even if you manage to get an access ticket with a reservation it is sometimes extremely difficult to enter; that’s why we have activated the Fast-Track-Ticket service with Host for the Academy, to ensure a safe and immediate entrance to the museum.

At the chosen date and time, our assistant will be at the meeting point to give you your entrance ticket for quick access, to make your visit as simple and uncomplicated as possible.

We include our Audio Guide Mobile Application, in 15 different languages,  to discover the most famous paintings of the museum.  It's simply unmissable!

It's made to be easy to use: after your booking reservation, you'll get the link and the small instructions to install it on your mobile device

Our art historian has dedicated a long time to crafting it for the best visit experience, her work never stops improving and updating it; for us, it's not a simple app but it's the best tool to visit the museum, it adds all the information you may need without been stack with a group tour.

Michelangelo's David. Michelangelo's David is one of the most celebrated masterpieces of Renaissance art and a symbol of Florence itself. Sculpted between 1501 and 1504, this monumental marble statue depicts the biblical hero David before his battle with Goliath. Standing over 5 meters tall, it demonstrates Michelangelo’s exceptional understanding of human anatomy, balance, and expression. Every detail, from the tense muscles to the determined gaze, reflects the ideals of strength, courage, and youthful beauty. Originally placed in Piazza della Signoria, the statue was moved to the Accademia Gallery in 1873 to protect it from damage. Today, it continues to inspire millions of visitors from around the world.
