Discover Cologne’s rich history and culture as you stroll along Europe’s busiest shopping street, blending modern and Roman architecture with landmarks like Antoniterkirche and the Weltstadthaus; visit the Farina Fragrance Museum, birthplace of Eau de Cologne, and explore Rococo-era perfume traditions; admire Rathausplatz, Germany’s oldest city hall, with its mix of Gothic and Renaissance styles; marvel at the medieval Great St. Martin Church, built on Roman foundations and shaped by Baroque and Classical influences; cross the historic Hohenzollern Bridge, adorned with equestrian statues of Prussian kings and emperors; and finish the tour at the Cologne Chocolate Museum, where you can independently explore its cacao trees, chocolate fountain, and production exhibits at your own pace after the guided tour concludes.

Itinéraire

Visit the tallest twin-spired church, the Cologne’s Catholic Cathedral built in the year 1248, standing tall at a height of 157m. The dom has also been declared as a world heritage site with 20,000 visitors who visit everyday to discover its gothic architecture.

See the city hall, consisting of several structures from the Gothic, Renaissance as well as Modern architectural styles. Further, you will also get to know about its 11th century’s remarkable council history spanning about 900 years ago.

We move towards the Great St. Martin’s Church, where you will learn about the Benedictine abbey whose history has been revealed from the documents found in those times, along with the building.

Last but not least, you will be visiting the long old market place which was once a site of public executions and Jousting tournaments.
