Hamburg State Opera traces its origins to 2 January 1678, when Germany's first public opera house was inaugurated. Along the way, Hamburg shows you a slice of its history and the places where locals gather. No guide means no one to impress and no one to blame. Just your crew and 2.5 hours of increasingly bold decisions. You do not need to be good at puzzles; you need people willing to have opinions, loudly, on a street corner. There may be a double agent on your team. There may not. By day or after dark, this route works: about 2.5 hours, 4 stops and 2.9 km on foot, with evening games possible. You head home with the photos, the in-jokes, and conclusive proof of whose poker face needs work. You arrive alone and leave with a team, which is more than most networking events manage. - Private groups: bachelor and bachelorette parties, girls' weekends, boys' trips, wedding parties, work teams and active over-55s. Join the open session every Sunday at 3pm to team up with other players. If nobody else books it, we let you know in advance so you can play solo or move to another date. Bigger groups play as several private teams. What to expect Meet in front of the Hamburgische Staatsoper near the Gänsemarkt square, where Germany's first public opera house opened in 1678. Your mission starts on your phones there and leads your team to 4 stops over about 2.9 km on foot, finishing at the last stop about 2.5 hours later.
