This is a very exciting way of climbing this magnificent hill. Suilven may be only 731 metres high, but its remarkable outline makes it one of Scotland's best known and most easily identified mountains. Its position in the heart of Assynt's cnoc-and-loch landscape and superb views make it one of the finest peaks in Britain.

The return is on the same route we walked up.

Walk details: 12 miles, 19.5 km – Ascent 750 m, Descent 750 m- Walking time 6 - 7 h

Meeting point for transport from Ullapool is the Royal Hotel Ullapool Car Park at 9 am. For all who make their own way to the Start of the walk, meeting time is 10.00 am. Good pair of walking boots/shoes Warm layers for when the weather is not ideal Waterproof trousers and jacket Snacks & Lunch for a break outside on hill Rucksack to carry all above if not needed
