Stop 3: Dahshur. Next, head to Dahshur, a quieter and less crowded pyramid site located south of Cairo. Discover the Bent Pyramid, one of the most unique pyramids in Egypt, known for its unusual change in angle. Then admire the Red Pyramid, considered the first successful true pyramid built in ancient Egypt and one of the earliest examples of the smooth-sided pyramid design. Take your time to explore the area, enjoy the desert landscape, and learn how ancient Egyptian architects developed their pyramid-building techniques.
