Visiting the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis is one of the most mysterious and unique architectural monuments of Samarkand. The oldest structures of the ensemble, of which only the foundations and tombstones have been preserved, date back to the XI-XII centuries. The vast majority of buildings date back to the XIV-XV century, and the reconstruction of the XVI-XIX centuries practically did not affect the composition and appearance of the complex. Visiting the Gur-Emir Mausoleum (translated as the tomb of the emir, the ruler) - the place where Amir Temur, his sons and grandsons are buried. This is a single-domed building with a crypt. The basis of the mausoleum is an octagon with a ribbed dome on a high drum, this is the pride and decoration of the mausoleum.

Excursion to the very heart of the city, Registan Square, which is one of the most beautiful squares in the world; it is called the pearl of Central Asia. This fame was earned thanks to the unique monuments of medieval oriental architecture surrounding it on three sides in the form of a beautiful architectural ensemble: the Ulugbek Madrasah (1417-1420), the Sher-Dor Madrasah (1619-1636) and the Tillya-Kari Madrasah (1646-1647). This ensemble is considered one of the greatest structures of the Islamic world. All three madrassahs face the center of the square with their portals and create a harmonious composition. Moreover, each building is distinguished by its unique pattern and filigree stone carving that decorates the walls and portals.

Excursion to the Bibi-Khanum Mosque, the largest mosque in Central Asia, surrounded by many legends. Its majestic blue domes are an extraordinary sight. The spirit is breathtaking from the scale on which this monumental structure was built, striking in its size and beauty. Its dome in ancient times was compared to the sky, and the arch of the portal - to the Milky Way.

Ulugbek Observatory, 15th century: one of the most important observatories of the Middle Ages, built by Ulugbek on the Kuhak hill in the vicinity of Samarkand in 1424-1428.
