This is the perfect tour for those looking for a real immersion in Normandy.

Being with you a couple of days, I 'll have the time to customize things exactly as you want.

On these 3 days, you'll see what makes Normandy so special.

From its medieval walls to its WWII Nazi canons, through the lovely apple orchards and spotted cows, Normandy is so much more than the 21st district of Paris, as Parisians call it.

You'll walk on Omaha Beach, hear the stories of many of the 9388 GI's resting at the Normandy American Cemetery, and walk the steps to the Abbey of the Mont St Michel.

In Falaise, Bayeux, Caen and Crèvecœur you'll delve into the stories of conquerors, dukes, and duchesses, knights and crusaders.

You'll also have plenty of time to taste the real Camembert in Camembert and to drink some of our delicious Calvados in the best local distilleries ( apple brandy ).

At the end of your trip you'll know much more about Normandy than a true Parisian

Route

Sainte Mère Eglise. Ste Mère Eglise, the first town liberated on D-Day, liberated by the US Airborne Divisions at dawn. Discover the small but strategical village where the Germans started to lose control of the Cherbourg peninsula, preparing the advance of the front of the US armies. After visiting the sites of the battle on D-Day, you'll be guided in the Airborne Museum, where you will see and learn everything about the US Airborne divisions who captured the area from the Nazis, and made their way to Berlin, through the Ardennes forest.

Brécourt Manor. Your driver-guide will take you to Brécourt Manor, to the site where Easy Company captured the 4 Howitzer guns at around 7AM, opening the way for the 4th Infantry Divisions on Utah Beach. You'll understand what happened also thanks to media and digital resources provided. Stop at the Dick Winters Monument nearby.

Utah Beach. Your driver-guide will take you to Utah Beach, where the 4th Infantry Division, led by Brigadier General Ted. Roosevelt, son of Prdt Teddy Roosevelt , took the beach in less than 2 hours. Thanks to media content and digital resources provided by your guide, you will understand how things really happened on Utah Beach that day, of Tuesday June 6th 1944.

Omaha Beach. Walking on these holy grounds of Omaha Beach, you'll immerse yourself with me on the terrible day of combat of the US 29th and 1st Infantry Divisions. You'll also get the Nazi point of view from the WN62 German bunkers in order to understand better what happened that day on this beach.

Pointe du Hoc. Follow your guide to relive the terrible first hours of June 6th 1944 at the Pointe du Hoc, where 225 Rangers had to climb 150 feet high cliffs to take this narrow strategical German gun position zeroing on Utah and Omaha Beach. Relive the terrible combat and two days of the US Rangers and their way through Normandy.

Normandy American Cemetery & Memorial. Visit the Normandy American Cemetery & Memorial and relive the history of many of the 9388 young GIs buried here thanks to your expert Normandy Licensed guide.

Mont St Michel. Discover the Marvel of Europe, the Mont St Michel and learn about the history of the place and of the Abbey standing on top of the island. Spend the day with the many monks, pilgrims, knights and crusaders who created the place and fought in honor of it.

Village of the Mont St Michel. Through the "stories " and "History" I will tell you, you'll delve into more than 1000 years of French and European history at the Mont St Michel. Also, if your condition and the tides allows, you'll experience a walk on the bay avoiding the quicksands and amazing quick tides.

Avranches Mont St Michel Manuscripts Museum. At the Scriptorial of Avranches, you'll discover how these extremely precious manuscripts were made, from the leather used, to the parchemin, through the various inks, and subjects the monks were writing about at the Abbey of the Mont St Michel from the 10th to the 17th Century.

Church Bell Factory Villedieu les Poeles. The Cornille Havard Foundry is the heir to a long tradition of Bell Founders settled in Villedieu-les-Poêles in Normandy since the Middle Ages.  In the workshop, around a hundred monumental bells appear each year, thus perpetuating the know-how and methods of the companions of yesteryear

William the Conqueror's castle at Falaise. In Falaise, you'll spend some time with the dukes of Normandy, in their best restored castle. Thanks to furnished rooms as in the days of the dukes and holograms of the dukes of Normandy in each room, you'll relive their lives, their battles and most epic journeys. A great and fun way to learn history, even better than the best History books.

St Pierre sur Dives. St Peter on the Dives, or St Pierre sur Dives witnessed the building of the fleet of 1000 long ships of William the Conqueror, which by the end of the summer of 1066 crossed the English channel to disembark close to Pevensey bay for the great battle of Hastings on October 14th 1066.

Crèvecoeur en Auge.  In the Pays d’Auge, the Castle of Crèvecœur is the best preserved fiefdom in Normandy.  Surrounded by a moat, the castle’s original plan is intact in its two areas.  The lower courtyard combines half-timbered farm buildings dating from the 15th and 16th century : farm, dovecote, barn and 12th century chapel.  In the upper courtyard, the 15th century residential manor house is protected by a 12th century wall.  A garden of the simples, a sheepfold, a hen house, a baker’s and a potter’s oven complete the Lord's estate

Bayeux Tapestry and Museum. The Bayeux Tapestry will have - almost - no more secrets now, as you will enter the long dark rooms where it is exhibited. This 1077 tapestry presents the history and the context of the battle of Hastings in 1066 , the first stage of a lasting Norman domination of England, which would lead centuries later to the Hundred's Year war and the War of the Roses. A unique piece of art, more than any history book could tell you about life in Normandy and in England 1000 years ago.
