This walking tour through Copenhagen perfectly blends royal history, political power, architectural beauty, and everyday Danish life into one compact, easy-to-enjoy experience. From the grandeur of Christiansborg Palace and the historic charm of Nyhavn to the lively atmosphere of Strøget and the timeless elegance of Tivoli Gardens, the tour captures the essence of Denmark’s capital. It connects centuries of monarchy, maritime heritage, and modern urban culture through engaging storytelling, all within a walkable historic center—making it ideal for first-time visitors who want a meaningful yet relaxed introduction to the city.

Route

Firstly you will be visiting the Copenhagen City Hall which is the headquarters of the municipal council as well as the Lord Mayor of the Copenhagen Municipality. The building is situated on City Hall Square in central Copenhagen.

Secondly, you will visit the City Hall Square which is a public square located in front of the Copenhagen City Hall. Its large size, central location affiliation with the city hall makes it a popular venue for a variety of events, celebrations, and demonstrations. It is often used as a central point for measuring distances from Copenhagen.

Next, your tour will be to the Jens Olsen's World Clock or Verdensur that is an advanced astronomical clock which is displayed in Copenhagen City Hall. The clock consists of 12 movements which together have 15,448 parts. The fastest gear completes a revolution every ten seconds and the slowest every 25,753 years.

Next is Tivoli that is an amusement park and pleasure garden. The park was opened on 15 August 1843 and is the second-oldest operating amusement park in the world.

Last but not the least, you will be visiting The Liberty Column which is a 20-meter tall Obelisk, erected in memory of the peasant reforms on, 20 June 1788.
