After being picked up from your accommodation, head to the heart of Serra Malagueta Natural Park, where your adventure begins.

At 850 meters above sea level, hike with your guide along one of the island's most scenic trails. The walk takes you through lush mountains and deep valleys, in an area home to over 120 species of endemic plants and birds. Discover Santiago's green side while learning from your guide about the biodiversity and life of local communities.

At the end of the trail, retrace your steps back to the starting point, where a vehicle will be waiting for you.

Then, enjoy a comfortable transfer to Tarrafal, where the scenery changes completely. Take time to swim in crystal-clear waters, relax on white sand under palm trees, and have lunch by the sea in one of Cape Verde's most beautiful spots.

After this perfect contrast between mountain and sea, return to your accommodation in Praia in the late afternoon.

Route

Praia. The day begins with pickup from your accommodation in Praia and heads inland to the traditional Assomada Market.

Serra Malagueta Natural Park. Drive through the mountains to the Serra Malagueta Natural Park, where your hiking adventure awaits. Begin the hike through fertile areas at an altitude of 850 meters above sea level and follow your guide as you head into the lush landscapes of the park, which spans 774 hectares, home to more than 124 species of plants and 19 species of birds. Be amazed by breathtaking scenery of the surrounding mountains and listen to your tour guide share information about the local flora and fauna, many of which can only be found here in the park.

Tarrafal Beach. The next stop is Tarrafal Beach, Santiago Island's most beautiful beach, surrounded by white sand, hills and palm trees. Swim and chill out on the shore, afterwards, take a break for a delicious lunch.

Praia. At the end of an unforgettable day, sit back and relax on the return journey to Praia.
