Pełny opis

Discover the resilience, history, and vibrant culture of Siem Reap on a private half-day journey through the town’s most significant landmarks. Designed for travelers looking to understand Cambodia's past and present, this tour balances deep historical insights with ancient heritage, sacred traditions, and local crafts.

Your journey begins with a compelling look at Cambodia’s modern history at the War Museum Cambodia, followed by a reflective visit to Wat Thmey, a memorial honoring victims of the Khmer Rouge regime. Step further back in time at Preah Enkosei, a hidden 10th-century temple, before visiting the Preah Ang Chek and Preah Ang Chom Shrine—the sacred spiritual heart of Siem Reap.

To conclude on an uplifting note, experience the revival of Khmer arts at the Artisans d'Angkor handicraft workshop, and end your tour testing your bartering skills for souvenirs at the lively Old Market (Psar Chaa).

Plan

War Museum. The War Museum houses a wide array of weapons and military vehicles collected from Cambodian battlefields and will shed a light on the recent years of turmoil and explain what shaped the country you see today

Killing Field-Wat Thmei. Wat Thmei, the Memorial of Victims of the Khmer Rouge Regime, is another sobering reminder of the recent, turbulent past of Cambodia.

Artisan Angkor Workshop. Artisans d'Angkor workshop where skilled artists produce gorgeous pieces of lacquer, stone carvings and silver plating and seeing them at work shows the positive direction of the path Cambodia finds itself on today.

Old Market-French Architecture. Old Market will have what you are looking for. Browse and use your bartering skills to bring home your memories of Siem Reap.
