There is another version of Bologna hiding in plain sight. Meet your team, follow the trail, and spend a few hours finding it together. Most people see the surface of Bologna. Your team gets sent after what is underneath it. You meet, you are handed a story, and you go looking. The route is concealed, the ending is not announced, and the only way forward is to work it out between you. Each stage peels back another layer. Sometimes it is a detail everyone walked past. Sometimes it is a decision the team has to agree on. Sometimes it is just committing to something faintly absurd in a public place. Nobody has all the answers, which is why it works as a group. You end up listening to each other properly, because you need to. For all the secrecy, this is a warm and easy afternoon. No specialist knowledge, no gaming experience, nothing to prepare. It is less a route through Bologna than an afternoon in it, with people who by the end you know a great deal better than the city. Know before you go • It is outdoors and takes about three hours of walking at an easy pace. • The route and where you end up stay secret. That is most of the fun. • Keep an eye on traffic, weather, opening hours and what is around you. • Open departures run at 9:00 AM, 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM in the destination's local time.
