Half-day Tour to Central Zagori from Ioannina

The beauty of Zagori is famous for its stone villages, bridges, and Vikos Canyon. On this half-day trip, we will have a complete impression of the central part of Zagori and its history. We will visit four bridges and four villages, with a short stop for refreshments. Our tour begins from Ioannina to the road leading to the place behind the mountain (Zagori means the site behind the hill). Our first stop will be at the Stone Forest in the village of Monodentri. This stunning field of rocks, towering around oaks and maples, is on the way to the Oxea Lookout and is a great place to stop to enjoy the view. 

We then move on to Oxia Point, just after Monodendri, where Vikos Canyon in Vikos-Aoös National Park is located. This is one of the best views of the canyon, if not the best. Then we will visit four bridges: Kapetan-Arkouda bridge, Kokkori-Noutsou bridge (where they will also tell you about Vitsa and Dilofo villages), Plakidas or Kalogeriko bridge in Kipoi (where they will also tell you about the place) and Lazaridi bridge, where they will tell you about Koukouli village. Then we will visit the town of Capesovo to see the steps of Vradeto. Then, we will reach the main town of Zagori, Cepelovo, where we will enjoy a drink just before our return.

Includes: a professional guide, hotel pick-up and drop-off, air-conditioned vehicle transportation, and beverages at our last stop. A minimum of two people is required for this tour. For 0–11-year-old children, the price is €55 per person.
