Granada's centre sits below the Alhambra hill and beside the Albaicin, the old Moorish quarter of steep white lanes that still follows its medieval street plan. A self-guided route through here naturally climbs — from the cathedral in the flat centre up into the Albaicin's alleys, with the Alhambra's red walls visible across the ravine for most of the walk, which is the view Granada is actually known for rather than the fortress interior itself. Sacromonte's cave quarter sits further up the same hillside, usually beyond the walking route but visible from it.

Granada carries a standard scavenger hunt through that centre plus a version that adds a scavenger-hunt layer specifically framed around the Alhambra's presence over the city, rather than the fortress ticket itself, which is bought and visited separately.
