Athens is awkward for the walker: the city stands on seven hills, summer runs past thirty-five degrees, and the distances between things worth seeing are greater than the map suggests. The e-bike solves precisely that. The motor takes over the climbs to Lycabettus and the Acropolis, and in three hours you cover what would take a whole day on foot, without arriving in the evening wrung out.
There are three routes. The historic one runs through the centre: Plaka, Monastiraki, the temple of Zeus, a circuit of the Acropolis from below. The coastal one heads for the Athens Riviera, to Faliro and Glyfada, where a cycle path runs along the sea. The evening one repeats the historic under floodlights — the Acropolis empties after sunset and the city looks different. A separate format is culinary: the same bikes, but with stops for mezedakia.
There is also the sky: a tandem skydive near the city from two and a half thousand metres. Practical notes: bike tours run on the road among city traffic — basic confidence in the saddle is needed, and helmets are provided. Children's sizes exist but only from a certain height. In summer departures are morning or evening. The jump depends on the wind and has a weight limit, with money returned on cancellation.
