Norway's self-guided offer runs a single scavenger hunt in each of two cities, Bergen and Oslo, roughly 460 kilometres by road and a short flight apart. Bergen's version threads the old wooden warehouses of Bryggen and the fish market by the harbour, a townscape built for walking rather than driving. Oslo's covers a newer, more spread-out capital, mixing the older government quarter with the harbourfront that has been rebuilt over the last two decades. Neither city runs more than the one hunt, so the format has not yet spread beyond the two biggest cities.

Both hunts follow the same mechanics: a phone, a small group, and clues that move between landmarks in two to three hours, no guide's script or fixed schedule to work around. Bergen's route stays compact enough to finish inside the Bryggen and fish-market area alone, while Oslo's covers more ground given the capital's size, though both are built to finish comfortably on foot without needing transit between stops.

Practical. Bergen's coastal weather runs mild and wet most of the year, with summer highs around 16-19C and January days around 2-4C, but rain gear matters more than warm clothing in a city known for it. Oslo swings colder in winter, with January around -4 to -2C, and warmer and drier in summer than Bergen, around 21-22C on a July day. Neither hunt depends on the weather to run, so a wet Bergen afternoon is still a normal afternoon for the walk, though a waterproof layer and grippy shoes make the cobbled harbour streets easier going.
