Upon arrival an 11-minute orientation film courtesy of the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association; Continued by a guided visit of George Washington restored 1799 mansion. Leisure time on your own to walk and discover innovative farming practices that costumed interpreters demonstrate (April through October) original and reconstructed buildings that shows what life was like on this 18th-century plantation, George & Martha Washington 1831 Tomb, and more.Duration 4 hrs.

Old Town Alexandria. On your way back, 1749 Old Town Alexandria would be explored, pointing out relevant historical events and landmarks that are often overlooked by travelers. A sightseeing drive crossing the Potomac will bring us back into the nation’s capital, ending this wonderful and unique experience. Duration 1 hr.
