The first Hippodrome of Constantinople was built before the city became an imperial capital. Along the way, Istanbul shows you a slice of its history and its cultural side. Most city activities are about the sights; this one is about the people you play with. Specifically, watching them try to act casual in public. You do not need to be good at puzzles; you need people willing to have opinions, loudly, on a street corner. There may be a double agent on your team. There may not. Plan on about 2.5 hours and 4 stops over roughly 1.6 km. No guide, nothing to download, no umbrella to follow, and as many coffee breaks as you like. You head home with the photos, the in-jokes, and conclusive proof of whose poker face needs work. Who it's for: - Friends, couples and families with teens: finally, a day out with more to talk about than where to eat. - Solo travelers and anyone new in town: join an open session and team up with other players. You arrive alone and leave with a team, which is more than most networking events manage. - Private groups: bachelor and bachelorette parties, girls' weekends, boys' trips, wedding parties, work teams and active over-55s. Pick the day; we will handle the intrigue. Book a private game for 1 to 8 players on a date you choose; a team of one works too. Prefer company? Join the open session every Sunday at 3pm to team up with other players. If nobody else books it, we let you know in advance so you can play solo or move to another date. Bigger groups play as several private teams. What to expect Turn up at Sultanahmet Meydanı by your departure time. Meet at the German Fountain. Your mission starts on your phones there and leads your team to 4 stops over about 1.6 km on foot, finishing at the last stop about 2.5 hours later. Only the meeting point is shared in advance; the rest is revealed as you play. - Bring a charged phone for each player, with mobile data; a power bank helps - About 1.6 km of walking; wear comfortable shoes - Outdoors in typical weather; if conditions turn unsafe, we reschedule you or refund you - The challenges suit teens and adults; younger players are welcome with grown-ups on the team - Some stops have limited wheelchair access.
