This bike tour is based on our most popular tour, Nara Highlights, but with lunch, and is reserved for families with kids who can ride a bike on their own.

PRIVATE TOUR WITH CROSS BIKES, NO CHILD SEATS AVAILABLE FOR NON-RIDERS

Explore Nara, the park, visit Kasuga Taisha Shrine and its thousand lanterns, and the Kikuichi traditional Japanese knife shop, with a guide who will keep you safe and will show you the city in a very unique way. Welcome to Nara with our Family Bike Tour.  As it is a private family tour, you can be sure that your guide will take extra care of your group, and adjust and adapt the tour based on your preferences.

Program

NARA PARK. Ride through Nara Park and Admire the animals living there

TODAIJI TEMPLE. Enter Todaiji Temple and see the biggest Buddha statue of Japan and learn about the history of the city.

KIKUICHI KNIFE COMPANY. Visit the Kikuichi Knife company, former Samurai Sword maker and actual cooking knife maker. Learn about Knives and buy some if you wish to. Free engraving can be asked when you visit on our tour.

KASUGA TAISHA SHRINE. Visit the Shrine of Kasuga Taisha, Learn about the spirit living there and discover Shinto, the oldest concept of spirituality in the world.

LUNCH TIME. Join us for a daytime izakaya lunch, where you can order a wide variety of dishes, so everyone, adults and kids, will have a great lunch experience. IMPORTANT: Extra required if lunch goes over budget. Thank you for your understanding.
