Next, we drive through the Serra de Água valley, a quiet and green area surrounded by mountains. This is a great place to enjoy nature, take photos, and feel the calm side of Madeira, far from the busy city.

We then the lovely village of São Vicente, on the north coast. São Vicente is small and charming, with traditional houses, a pretty church, and beautiful views of both the mountains and the ocean. After that, we go to Quinta Barbusano winery for a real table wine experience. Here you will taste six different table wines, all carefully chosen, and served with toasted cheese that matches the flavours of the wines. You will also join a guided tour of the vineyards , where you learn in a simple and clear way how the wines are grown and produced (extra 24.00 paid on the spot). It is interesting even if you are not a wine expert.

During the whole day, you travel in a 4x4 vehicle, which allows us to leave the normal roads and explore smaller, quieter paths. We visit hidden viewpoints and peaceful places that most tourists never see and where big buses cannot go. These stops are perfect for photos and for enjoying the silence and beauty of the island.
