Sighișoara and Sibiu both sit four to five hours by road from Bucharest, too far for a comfortable same-day return, so their routes suit a multi-stop Transylvania trip more than a single Bucharest day. Cobbled, sloped streets run through all three old towns, so flat, sturdy shoes beat anything with a smooth sole.
