In Chuong Village, discover the art of conical hat making, a craft passed down through generations. At Quang Phu Cau, immerse yourself in the vibrant incense village, where bundles of colorful incense sticks are crafted with care and precision. Meet skilled artisans, observe their age-old techniques, and gain authentic insight into rural Vietnamese life. Try your hand at painting and assembling your own conical hat under expert guidance, and take home your handmade creation — a unique keepsake of Vietnam’s enduring cultural artistry.

Ablauf

7:30 - 8:00 (Morning) or 12:00 - 12:30 (Afternoon): Pick-up from your hotel or private address in Hanoi Old Quarter and departure to Chuong village

First, we'll visit the historic Chuong village, renowned for its 300-year-old tradition of conical hat making. Here, you'll meet local artisans and observe the intricate process of crafting these iconic Vietnamese hats.

Next, we'll head to the century-old Quang Phu Cau incense village, famous for its vibrant incense craft. Stroll through the village center, witnessing families engaged in small-scale incense production. You'll visit a specialist household that dyes incense sticks, offering perfect photo opportunities of colorful incense bundles. The tour culminates with a visit to the village's largest incense factory. Here, you'll get an in- depth look at the entire incense-making process, from raw materials to finished products, and gain insights into the lives of rural workers.

13:00 - 13:30 (Morning) or 18:00 - 18:30 (Afternoon): Our journey concludes with a return to Hanoi Old Quarter. Please note: This half-day tour does not include lunch, so we recommend eating beforehand or bringing snacks to keep you energized throughout the afternoon.
