Tsaghkadzor is a SPA town and popular winter resort in the Kotayk region, about 60 kilometers north of Yerevan. It is one of the hilly Armenian areas with diverse natural beauty. The village is located on the eastern side of Teghenis Mountain, 1841 meters above sea level. Forests and alpine meadows surround it.

The journey will take you to the Kecharis monastery, located in the northwest corner of Tsaghkadzor. The Tsaghkadzor ropeway has been in operation since 1967. It is located on the eastern side of Mount Teghenis at the height of 1,966-2,819 meters. When you reach the highest point, which the fast chairlift will take you to in 32 minutes, you will be able to see entire Armenia at a glance, and if the weather is clear, you will also be able to see the Holy Mount Ararat in the distance. The ropeway, renovated in 2004 and 2017, is well-equipped and safe for tourists.

Lake Sevan is the crown jewel of Armenia's highlands. It is one of the largest freshwater alpine lakes in the world. The stunning scenery and crystal clear water will give you an excellent opportunity to unwind. The silhouette of the churches will stand out against the turquoise lake and azure sky, and it will be the vantage point from which the entire grandeur of Lake Sevan can be seen. You will also have the opportunity to take a Sevan trout BBQ master class and sample some tasty fish at the end of the trip.
