The sun rises directly behind the moai platform during the summer months (October to March), offering the most dramatic backdrop.
From April to October, the sun rises from the Poike volcano, creating a different but equally stunning silhouette.
Cloud cover is more frequent in winter, though the experience remains atmospheric year-round.
This tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off for a seamless start to your day.

Itinerary

Ahu Tongariki. Located opposite to Rano Raraku this is the largest platform from all of the reconstructed on the island. The ahu Tongariki is the most imposing moai platform in the island. This altar has fifteen visible standing statues overlooking the island with their backs to the Pacific Ocean.
