This is the most balanced tour offered, it includes World Heritage sites, the Atlantic coast, medieval villages and faith. Being raised up in that region during part of his childhood and still having family there, the guide is able to unveil Fátima and all sites of this tour in a unique way only insiders know. Facts passed from generation to generation and unknown to visitors allows you to have a unique experience with this guide. The visit to the Batalha monastery (World Heritage Site) will be a highlight. Nazaré is a small town at the Atlantic ocean, rich in traditions. We will start the day with a visit to Óbidos, a magnificent medieval town, which you will explore on foot with your guide. After Óbidos it will be time to go to the fishing village of Nazaré and to the site of the biggest waves in the world. From Nazaré we will continue to the Monastery of Batalha, the biggest example in Portugal of the late gothic Portuguese style, where we can find a mix of the gothic style with the Manuelino Art - symbol of Portuguese maritime expansion. This tour goes afterwards to Fátima, the site where Our Lady of Fátima appeared on the 13th. of May 1917 and the homes of the 3 shepherds. Fátima is the religious capital of Portugal, and an essential place of visit for many people.
